A Note from Our Founder – Heena Ahmed Saleem

With over 40 years of experience in youth football, my passion has always been guiding children with care, discipline, and modern training. I believe that kids living in Hulhumalé deserve equal opportunities to grow and become the next generation of football stars.

I am honored to have received the National Award "SHARAFUVERI KAMUGE GAUMEE INAAM" for Player Achievement and the National Award for Sports Management & Sports Development from the President of the Maldives. These recognitions strengthen my commitment to serving the youth and continuing my lifelong mission in football development.

In 2026, we have many exciting activities planned, and I will be moving to Hulhumalé to stay close to the academy and support our players personally.

I am proud to have a strong team beside me.

Elite Head Coach Mausoom, whose career includes the development of 20 trophy-winning Teams. Together, we are committed to modern coaching techniques, and a supportive environment where every child can thrive.

Manager Coach Shiyan, who truly cares for children and works with full heart, manages everything in the academy to ensure parents’ satisfaction. He is a well-known and trusted coach among the Hulhumalé young generation, and his dedication keeps our academy running smoothly.

I also want to highlight Coach Yoosuf Azeem (Yootey), a key part of bringing this vision to life. Yootey is one of the best youth development coaches I have ever worked with—his passion, experience, and modern teaching style continue to inspire our players and strengthen our academy’s foundation.

Heena Saleem

Founder & Head Coach, Club Valencia Academy

Heena Ahmed Saleem is one of the Maldives’ most respected youth football coaches, with over 40 years of experience developing young players. Known as the “Father of Youth Development,” he has guided hundreds of children who later played for top clubs and national teams. His child-friendly coaching, warm personality, and focus on discipline, teamwork, and confidence make him a true inspiration in Maldivian football. Heena is also a proud National Award winner in both Player Achievement and Sports Management & Sports Development, presented by the President of the Maldives, a recognition of his lifelong service to youth and football development.

Coach Yootey

Coach Yoosuf Azeem (Yootey) is one of the Maldives’ most respected football figures. A former professional player with over 25 years of experience coaching children, he is known for his hard work, passion, and modern training methods.

Many of his players now represent the Maldives National Team, reflecting his dedication to developing young talent. Coach Yootey inspires every child to work hard, play with confidence, and reach their full potential.

Coach Mausoom

Coach Mausoom is an elite youth coach known for teaching modern football with professionalism and passion. He holds multiple international coaching licenses and has an outstanding record of 20 trophy wins as a coach. With a strong reputation for developing disciplined, intelligent, and technically skilled young players, Coach Mausoom continues to be a key force in shaping the next generation of football talent.

Shiyan

Manager Shiyan

Manager Shiyan is a friendly, caring coach who always prioritizes the safeguarding and wellbeing of children, earning the trust of parents and players alike. With a BA in Youth Sports Psychology, he understands how to guide young athletes with confidence and positivity. Known as the kids’ favorite coach, Shiyan plays a key role in creating a safe, supportive, and happy environment at the academy.
